Who needs a seat

A seat is an internal person who signs in to do work. Clients never need one.

  • Active internal people use a seat: owners, admins, finance, project leads, members and contractors who track time.
  • Client guests and pending invitations never use a paid seat.
  • Every workspace keeps at least one paid seat.
  • Adding internal access needs an available seat or an explicit, previewed seat purchase.

Invitations, the trial, payment processing, taxes, plan changes, cancellation and what happens to your records.

What counts as an internal seat?
Anyone inside your studio who signs in to do work: owners, admins, finance, project leads, members and contractors who track time. Client guests who only view shared projects, estimates and invoices are free.
Do pending invitations cost anything?
No. An invitation reserves an available seat so it cannot create an unexpected purchase, but nothing is charged until someone accepts and you have confirmed the seat.
How does the trial work?
You get 14 days of the Studio plan without entering a card. When it ends you choose a plan, or your workspace moves to restricted access that keeps every record and export available.
How are client payments processed?
Client invoice payments run through your own connected Stripe account, separate from your subscription. Any processing fees are set by Stripe in your account; this product adds no payment surcharge.
Are taxes included?
Prices are shown in USD before any sales tax or VAT that may apply to your subscription. Invoice taxes for your own clients are configured by you per workspace.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Upgrades can take effect immediately with a proration preview before you confirm. Downgrades and seat reductions apply at renewal. Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the paid period.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. Features outside the new plan become read-only, with the specific create and edit actions disabled, and every record stays exportable.
