Who each one is for
Harvest
Harvest positions itself as time tracking, reporting and invoicing for teams doing many kinds of work. If your studio mainly needs straightforward time tracking and invoicing, and it already serves you well, it may be all you need.
Studioflow
Studioflow is for design studios that want time, scope and revision rounds, margin forecasts, planning and invoicing in one model, built on the same records, with every number explained.

Workflow
What Studioflow is built around
Statements about our own product, which you can check in the sample studio. They are not claims about what Harvest lacks.
Scope connected to margin
Deliverables carry their included revision rounds, change requests carry their own fee, hours and cost, and the margin forecast moves with reviewed remaining effort.
Proposed kept apart from committed
Change requests and planning scenarios never alter committed totals until they are accepted and applied, and each can be applied once.
Planning beside actuals
A staffing change shows its effect on capacity and on the project’s forecast cost before anything is committed.
Billing readiness before invoices
Missing approvals, unassigned time and work not yet invoiced are listed before you draft, and every source can be billed only once.

What carries over, and what cannot
- Clients, projects, people references, tasks, time entries and expenses, where the files contain them, plus references to past invoices.
- Payment settlement, approval decisions and the audit trail of the original documents cannot be recreated from a CSV file.
- People from your history become archived names for attribution, with no login, no invitation and no paid seat.
- A file imported twice is recognised, and an import can be undone for records not used or changed since.
Honestly
When Harvest may suit you better
- Your studio mainly needs time tracking and invoicing, and the scope and margin questions on this page are not ones you have.
- Your workflow depends on connections that Studioflow offers only as optional adapters needing setup, or not at all.
- Your work is not project-based client work, so revision rounds, change requests and project margins do not apply.
